What are the responsibilities and job description for the Apprentice Fish Cutter (#10, Wahiawa) position at Foodland?
Foodland Super Market, Hawaii's largest locally owned grocery retailer is hiring for Fish Cutters to join our team!
This is an hourly position and we offer a comprehensive benefits package (specifics vary based on position and classification).
Fish Cutters are responsible but are not limited to the below:
- ensuring the seafood cases are well-stocked with fresh, high-quality seafood products for our customers
- receive, stock, cut, prepare, wrap, weigh, price, and attractively merchandise seafood department products
- proper inventory control and product rotation to maximize product freshness and availability, while minimizing waste
- attend the service case
- assist customers with special requests, and answer questions about our seafood products
- help increase sales by offering product samples and by recommending additional items.
- Fish cutters work with equipment like wrapping machines and knives.
Qualifications and requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be able to frequently lift, maneuver and/carry up to 75 pounds
- Must successfully pass apprentice/training program (applies to apprentice only)
- Must have TB Clearance
- Must comply with all company policies and requirements
