Position Overview:
The Fleet Manager will oversee and manage the company's growing fleet across nationwide locations, focusing on efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and safety in all vehicle-related operations. This role involves implementing fleet management strategies that support operational goals, utilizing fleet software systems, and adhering to company and regulatory policies. Responsibilities include proactive management of vehicle expenses, maintenance schedules, and route optimizations to support seamless operations and business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Fleet Management & Optimization
- Utilize Enterprise e-Fleets Program: Leverage the capabilities of the Enterprise e-Fleets program to identify and implement benefits, cost savings, and performance improvements for company vehicles.
- Monitor Vehicle Expenses: Oversee and analyze all vehicle-related costs, including fuel (Wex), telematics (GeoTab), leasing (Enterprise), insurance (Auto Insurance), and maintenance expenses, to maintain effective budget control.
- Vehicle Maintenance and Repairs: Act as the primary point of contact for vehicle repairs and maintenance, coordinating timely repairs and documenting expenses and issues.
- Vehicle Replacement Planning: Identify and flag vehicles needing replacement based on cost analysis, performance data, and feedback from route teams, aligning with operational needs and growth targets.
Route Optimization & Logistics
- Optimize Routes: Collaborate with route coordinators and key team members of the operations team to develop routes that are cost-efficient, fuel-conscious, and meet delivery performance goals, using data-driven tools and planning software.
- Support Operational Growth: Work closely with Sales and Operations teams to account for fleet needs as the business expands, planning strategically for new routes or markets.
Compliance & Safety
- Maintain Compliance: Manage vehicle inspections, registrations, and adherence to all regulatory and safety requirements, helping maintain fleet readiness and reduce risk.
- Insurance & Risk Management: Coordinate with insurance providers to maintain proper coverage, manage claims, and implement preventive measures to reduce accident rates and liabilities.
Reporting & Analysis
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Prepare monthly and quarterly reports on fleet performance, expenses, and optimization results, using data to highlight cost-saving opportunities and areas for operational improvement.
- Budget Management: Monitor expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and adjust plans within the assigned budget based on business needs and financial objectives.
Vendor and Partner Collaboration
- Liaise with Vendors: Coordinate with external vendors for leasing, maintenance, telematics, and fuel management, working to secure favorable terms and proactive service.
- Maintain Key Partnerships: Build and maintain partnerships with service providers, including repair shops and parts suppliers, to support high-quality and efficient service for fleet maintenance needs.

Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in logistics, business, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in fleet management or logistics within a multi-location or high-growth environment.
- Skills:
- Proficient in fleet management software (e.g., Enterprise e-Fleets, GeoTab).
- Strong analytical and budgeting skills.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
