FoodPrep Solutions (FPS) provides sharpening services and related merchandise to the foodservice industry. POSITION SUMMARY:
FoodPrep Solutions is looking for an energetic and motivated Inside Sales Representative with a strong customer service background to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales through proactive outreach, managing customer relationships, and providing exceptional service to ensure a seamless experience from initial inquiry to post-sale. This position requires a customer-centric approach with a focus on building long-term relationships and delivering value.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Sales Generation: Proactively reach out to potential and existing customers via phone, email, and online channels to drive sales, qualify leads, and close deals.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understand their needs, and offer tailored solutions that best fit their requirements.
- Account Management: Follow up with leads and clients to ensure satisfaction, identify new opportunities, and ensure ongoing customer loyalty.
- Product Knowledge: Stay up to date on product offerings, pricing, and industry trends to provide customers with accurate and relevant information.
- Order Processing: Assist in processing orders, ensuring the correct products are selected, and coordinating with other departments to deliver products on time.
- Cross-Selling and Upselling: Identify and recommend additional products or services to existing customers based on their needs and preferences.
- Customer Service Excellence: Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues, concerns, or complaints that may arise, leveraging your customer service experience to maintain a positive experience.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the sales, operations and customer support teams to align goals and strategies and contribute to team success.
- Sales Reporting: Maintain and update CRM systems with customer interactions, sales activities, and progress towards targets.
- Problem-Solving: Address challenges faced by customers or prospects and work to find solutions that meet their needs.
REQUIRED AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred).
- 2 years of experience in customer service, with at least 1 year in an inside sales or sales support role.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to engage customers professionally.
- Proven track record of handling customer inquiries, solving problems, and building rapport.
- Experience with CRM software and sales management tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing environments.
- Self-motivated with a goal-oriented attitude and the ability to work independently.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Preferred Skills:
- B2B sales experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with industry-specific products and services.
- Bilingual skills (e.g., English/Spanish) are a plus.
- Ability to work in a high-volume sales environment.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
