The Director of IT will define and execute FSC’s strategic technology vision, ensuring that systems and tools align with business objectives and support sustainable growth. This role will develop and implement a comprehensive technology strategy that enhances operational efficiency, integrates seamlessly across the organization, and drives strategic initiatives.
With a strong focus on service to the business, the Director will balance long-term innovation with a deep understanding of current technologies. They will leverage and optimize productivity tools while maintaining expertise in core systems such as ERP and CRM, with the ability to adapt to emerging technologies as needed.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Director will lead or participate in major system integration efforts, contributing to strategic planning, budgeting, and IT leadership. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A DIRECTOR OF IT
The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a Director of IT, IT Manager, or in a senior IT leadership role, with a specific focus on M&A and post-merger integration. Experience in leading IT operations during mergers, acquisitions, or other corporate restructuring efforts is crucial. You should possess a strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud services, enterprise applications, and security, and demonstrate the ability to manage and lead cross-functional teams in a complex, fast-paced environment. Solid project management skills are essential, along with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
The candidate should possess relevant education and experience in computer science, information management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating comparable knowledge and skills. They must have at least eight years of experience managing organization-wide IT systems, or an equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating comparable expertise. Additionally, the candidate should have a minimum of five years of management experience, including leadership, team facilitation, staff supervision, resource and budget management, contract oversight, communications, and the ability to set and achieve goals.
Excellent problem-solving, critical-thinking, and communication skills are necessary, as well as the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
Preferred qualifications include experience in a privately owned business environment, as well as certifications in IT management or project management (e.g., PMP, ITIL). Expertise in enterprise software (ERP systems, CRM platforms) and cloud computing solutions is also a plus.
