Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Deli Clerk-Prepared Food professional to join our team at Foodtown. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and providing high-quality food products.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers by adhering to proper sanitation procedures and maintaining the deli area.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently while providing friendly and attentive service to customers.
- Prepare and package food items according to company standards and recipes.
- Assist with receiving and stocking merchandise, including checking inventory levels and rotating stock to ensure freshness.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand the English language.
- Capability to operate equipment as required by department (e.g., slicer, scale, can-opener, wrapping machine, rotisserie, fryer, cheese grater/cutter, case cutter, and stove/oven).
- Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull, and regularly lift 25 lbs., and occasionally lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures.
- Ability to work with fresh, dried, and/or processed products, spices, and powdered substances without negative allergic consequences.
- Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
- Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way.
