What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at Foot and Ankle Center?
The Foot and Ankle Center is a Podiatry office that specializes in all areas of foot care and we're looking for a Medical Assistant to join our special team. Responsibilities Include:
- Setting up exam rooms, maintain cleanliness, stock materials and instruments needed to treat our patients.
- Greet and bring back patients to the exam room.
- Review and enter patient chart information into the EMR system including history, surgery, vitals , complaints and meds.
- Assist Physicians with procedures and position patients for digital X-rays.
- Fit braces, shoes, orthotics and offer products for various foot conditions.
- Perform PAD testing for blood flow and take reference foot pictures.
- Draw injections, send electronic prescriptions, autoclave instruments.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Medical experience/ Medical Assistant experience or restaurant experience encouraged to apply
- Certification not required will train
- Friendly personality with the ability to multitask.
