Podiatrist – Physician Practice/Cath Lab

POSITION OVERVIEW
The position services our dedicated physician group practice located in Albuquerque, NM. We are looking for a motivated and experienced Provider to join our team. You will work collaboratively with other providers and our well trained staff to provide high quality, patient centered care in an outpatient setting providing state-of-the-art diagnosis and comprehensive treatment specializing in surgical, sports, and wound-care.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations.
- Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic illnesses.
- Communicate with collaborating physicians regarding patient care.
- Prescribe necessary medications alongside treatment plans. Refill prescriptions as needed.
- Review charts and lab reports for abnormalities. Triage vascular consult patients.
- Perform vein oblation procedures upon proper training and proctoring.
- Evaluate postoperative patients and complete routine follow-up visits.
- Collaborate with medical assistants as needed for follow-up with patients and their support systems.
- Facilitate referrals to other community professionals and medical facilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- DPM, Current State License (Required)
- Previous experience in Podiatry or other medical fields
- Current and unrestricted state license
- Current and unrestricted DEA license
- Ability to build rapport and remain professional with patients, physicians, clinical and administrative staff.
- Ability to thrive, adapt and innovate in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment.
- Excellent communication in both written and verbal form.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Requires a high-level of visual and auditory acuity for timely reasons and patient care assessment activities.
- Ability to move quickly in response to physician and patient needs.
- Able to stand for long periods of time, occasional overhead lifting and low reaching.
- Able to exert force up to 50 lbs. occasionally, 20 lbs. frequently, and up to 10 lbs. regularly.
- Patient care activities require the ability to exert force up to 30 lbs. regularly, 40 lbs. occasionally and up to 100 lbs. rarely.
