Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process.
- Manage phone calls with professionalism, addressing inquiries and scheduling appointments efficiently.
- Verify patient insurance information and ensure compliance with Medicare and other insurance policies.
- Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with medical billing processes and coding tasks as needed.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless communication regarding patient care.
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
- Provide support in managing the clinic's daily operations to enhance patient experience.
Experience
- Previous experience in a medical office or clinic setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with Meditech software is a plus.
- Knowledge of medical billing, coding, and insurance verification processes is essential.
- Strong phone etiquette and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
