We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and organized Billing Call Coordinator to join our team at our Bountiful corporate office! The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing billing calls, processing payments, reviewing patient statements, and navigating various portals. Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Gather patient and insurance information efficiently and accurately
- Collect and process payments over the phone from patients
- Review patient bills
- Answer telephones, screen calls, take messages, and provide information to the appropriate source
- Enter patient data into the EHR system
- Direct patients on navigating patient portals
- Provide information to patients about how to make an appointment
- Assist in scheduling patients throughout our network of clinics during high call volume
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Education- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Language Skills- Preferably (but not required) bilingual (Spanish speaking)
Experience:
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to establish immediate rapport with patients
- One year of experience in customer service or reception in a health care environment preferred
- Experience using insurance portals to look up patient benefits, etc.
- Previous healthcare experience and/or familiarity with medical terminology helpful
- Experience in relaying sensitive information to patients
- Proven experience in medical billing or a related field is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and patients.
- Proficient in using office software applications for documentation and reporting.

- Knowledge of basic computer skills

- Knowledge of individual responsibilities to accurately direct callers
- Knowledge of medical terminology and organization services
- Knowledge of basic insurance dynamics and portals
Skills:
- Skill in using multi-line phone system, including transferring calls
- Skill is providing excellent customer service
Abilities:
- Ability to get appropriate information to route calls to the appropriate person
- Ability to calms, or defuses irate callers and patients by working with them to identify concerns and properly directs calls
- Adequate hearing to answer phone and speak with patients
- Ability to speak clearly and loudly enough to be heard by callers and patients
Equipment Operated: Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, teams, etc.
Work Environment: Position is in-person at the cooperate office located in Bountiful, Utah
Mental/Physical Requirements: Involves sitting approximately 90 percent of the day

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 39 per week
