Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Part-Time Podiatry Medical Assistant to join our expanding practice. In this role, you will provide vital support to the podiatrist, assist with patient care, prepare exam rooms, handle patient intake, and perform routine administrative tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to contribute to a growing team with potential for future advancement as our practice continues to expand.
The position requires weekend availability at our Vineland location on Saturdays from 7:45 AM - 1:00 PM. Additional part-time hours will be available at our Bridgeton location. The hours for this position will be approximately 20 hours per week. As we plan to add another doctor to our team, there is the potential for additional hours as our practice grows.
While this is currently a part-time position, we offer the possibility of increased hours in the near future.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist patients as they arrive for their appointments.
- Prepare patients for exams by taking vital signs, medical history, and other relevant information.
- Assist the podiatrist during patient examinations and procedures.
- Ensure exam rooms are clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, patient records, and answering phones.
- Maintain accurate patient charts and ensure compliance with privacy and medical regulations.
- Provide excellent patient care and support throughout their visit.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a medical office or as a medical assistant is preferred.
- Knowledge of podiatry or a willingness to learn is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to work Saturdays (half-day shifts).
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 20 per week
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- Weekends only
