Position Summary:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and hands-on Piping Field Engineer to support the successful delivery of piping systems on a large-scale greenfield industrial project. This role requires strong field experience, technical drawing interpretation, and the ability to work closely with both construction and engineering teams to identify design issues and ensure constructability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the installation of piping systems in the field by interpreting Isometric drawings, P&IDs, and general arrangement drawings.
- Review and verify material take-offs (MTOs), identifying discrepancies or missing components in material lists.
- Detect potential design flaws, clashes, or constructability issues, and proactively recommend field-friendly solutions.
- Utilize Navisworks and other engineering/modeling software to assist in layout verification, clash detection, and visual coordination.
- Interface with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure alignment on design execution.
- Provide redlines or field markups where modifications are required due to site conditions or design errors.
- Support daily field coordination meetings and maintain progress documentation.
- Assist in quality control checks and verification of installation against specifications.
Qualifications:
- 5–10 years of field or engineering experience in piping systems, preferably on large industrial or heavy construction projects.
- Strong ability to read and interpret Isometric drawings, P&IDs, and piping layout plans.
- Experience working with or navigating Navisworks and other model-based design tools.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve design-related issues in the field.
- Familiarity with industry piping standards, construction methods, and material specifications.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred:
- Experience on greenfield construction or heavy industrial facility projects.
- Background in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Engineering Technology.
- Knowledge of fabrication, welding, and installation practices for industrial piping.
Salary : $50 - $60
