Compensation: 100,000 - 140,000, DPOE
A multi-discipline engineering firm in Atlanta, Georgia is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design complex HVAC systems for building projects and act in a project management capacity or lead a team of mechanical engineers. This position involves supporting the design and development of HVAC systems, interacting with clients to provide expertise and solve issues, and mentoring staff in both technical and soft skills. The role also includes overseeing the preparation of construction documents, collaborating with an Energy and Sustainability group, and managing contract administration duties.
Key qualifications include a deep understanding of HVAC systems, particularly for healthcare projects, and the ability to manage large, complex systems. The candidate should have strong communication skills, the ability to prioritize tasks, and experience in project management. A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering is required, with a Professional Engineer (PE) certification and LEED accreditation preferred. The ideal candidate should have 7-10 years of experience in HVAC consulting, particularly in healthcare design, and experience leading both technical design and multi-discipline project management.
