Title: QC Inspector
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Welding Inspector to join our team on a large greenfield aluminum mill project. In this role, you will perform visual and dimensional inspections of welded joints and structural steel components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of welded joints and structural steel components.
- Ensure all welding activities are performed in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
- Verify that all welding equipment is calibrated and maintained in good working condition.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years' experience in structural steel and/or mechanical equipment.
- AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification preferred.
- Knowledge of welding processes, welding equipment, and welding safety practices.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience performing QA/QC of structural steel fabrication.
- American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) certifications (e.g.: UT, MT, PT).
This is a 5-month assignment with a competitive hourly rate of $38-$42/hour, plus a daily per diem of $100 for all 7 days. The schedule is 6-10s, and the start date is ASAP. The project is located at a steel mill, where our client is the structural steel and equipment contractor.
