Full-Time Food Service Director – Long-Term Care Facility
We are seeking a dedicated Food Service Director to lead our kitchen and dietary staff in a long-term care facility. This position requires strong leadership skills, culinary expertise, and a commitment to high-quality service.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, managing cooks and dietary staff.
- Distribute menu preparation assignments and ensure prep work is completed, providing assistance when necessary.
- Ensure adherence to standard recipes and consistently maintain food quality that meets the high standards set by the Administration.
- Conduct regular audits of walk-in refrigerators, checking dates, labels, and 72-hour rotation for food safety.
- Provide plating demonstrations to line staff prior to each meal service.
- Audit tray line for accuracy and compliance with dietary specifications.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure effective ordering, menu planning, and scheduling.
- Manage therapeutic diet preparation and ensure meals meet the dietary needs of residents.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of local and federal food safety regulations and guidelines.
