We are seeking a Program Director to support and guide our direct care team and help to grow our program to continue providing excellent care to the clients and families we serve.
Located on a 94-acre working horse farm in Ellenboro, NC, Foothills at Red Oak Recovery is a residential treatment program that serves 14-year-old to 17-year-old male adolescents and their families. Foothills is a relationally founded program that uses experiential and adventure-based programming to facilitate healing experiences and provide opportunities of growth for our clients and families. The Behavioral Health Technicians Director is a member of the senior leadership team and is responsible for ensuring the quality of our direct care team through staffing, training, supervision, and mentoring. The BHT Director works with the Clinical and Executive Directors to ensure effective planning, coordination and delivery of evidence based and impactful programming to our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the recruitment and hiring of all direct care staff
- Provide supervision to direct care staff (training, scheduling, reviews, disciplinary action, etc.)
- Provide supervision to Program Coordinator and shift supervisors (training, scheduling, reviews, disciplinary action, etc.)
- Oversee the training and development of direct care staff
- Ensure direct care staffing needs are met, maintain appropriate ratios and remaining within projected budget
- Oversee all aspects of program scheduling to ensure programming is relevant to client needs, is manageable, progressive and adaptive
- Ensure adventure programming is relevant and responsive to client and programmatic needs
- Complete bi-weekly timecard submission and approval of all direct care staff
- Ensure proper orientation process for clients
- Facilitate weekly community meetings for all clients
- Manage and oversee client milieu
- Works with treatment team to ensure the highest standard of programming is made available
- Facilitate psycho-educational and experiential groups as indicated
- Serve in the role of Primary Responder as scheduled
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of four years’ experience in the field of substance abuse or a related human services field
- Minimum of three years supervisory experience
- Experience in adolescent mental health and substance abuse
Preferred Qualifications:
- Licensed or provisionally licensed in mental health and substance abuse
- Master’s degree in a human services field
