Job Details

  • Ultrasound Tech position at Foothills Hospital in Boulder, Colorado.
  • Department : Radiology - U / S Tech
  • Common types of imaging / studies performed : ER, ABD, small parts, OB / Gyn, paracentesis, thoracentesis, appendix, hernias.
  • Must have 2 years of experience and be able to perform studies independently.

    • Job Requirements

  • BLS certification required.
  • ARDMS certification (RDMS, RDCS, or RVT) required.
  • Must be competent in appendix and hernia scans.

    • Schedule Information

  • Manager sets the schedule with 8s, 10s, 12s shifts.
  • Most travelers work 4 - 10s with varying start times : 7a, 815a.
  • Weeknight call : 7p-7a, 9-10 / month.
  • Weekend call : 12Hr call, 3-4 call shifts / month.

    • Unit Specific Information

  • No floating to other areas required.
  • Department specific equipment : GE - E10.

    • Additional Details

  • Department has 3 ultrasound rooms with 10 machines and typically staffs 13 techs during the day.
  • Radiologist in-house M-F 8a-11p, Sat 8a-4p with 'Nighthawk' readings outside of these hours.
  • Virtual / online 4-6 hours of general orientation & Epic training / test out.
