We are seeking a dedicated Production Manager to oversee our manufacturing area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing production activities, ensuring quality control, and implementing process improvements to enhance operational efficiency. This role requires strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, as well as the ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
Foothills Industries is also a community rehabilitation program that exists to provide valuable pre-vocational and life skills training for adults with varying abilities.
Duties
- Manage and supervise all manufacturing personnel, including supervisors and leads. The ability to supervise, assist in training and directing adults with varying abilities.
- Ensure that all scheduled PMs are completed as required and logbooks are signed when completed.
- Responsible for all production employees' compliance with all regulatory requirements under ISO 13485, FDA, OSHA, and NCDOL rules and regulations where applicable.
- Trained and knowledgeable in all Health and Safety Policies and Procedures. Responsible for ensuring all subordinates are aware, understand and follow all policies and procedures related to their employment and specific job duties.
- Coordination of training for all employees including "On-the-Job" training, Health and Safety, Environmental Control, and any other manufacturing/production-related training as needed and required.
- Be the point of contact for customers and suppliers via email, in person and/or phone, to ensure any needs are met.
- Schedule orders in the department and work with leads to ensure delivery of products on time.
- Ability to perform light maintenance activities and troubleshoot for malfunction of equipment.
- Ability to set up equipment and adjust as necessary to ensure jobs are completed on time.
- Will assist with jobs on the production floor in different areas as needed. Lead by example.
- May serve as a backup in certain areas from time to time.
Requirements
- High School Diploma and a minimum of an Associate Degree from an institute of higher learning.
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment, preferably 5 years' experience in manufacturing or a B.S. Degree in a supportive field.
- Some mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot small equipment issues effectively.
- Experience in quality control processes to ensure product standards are met.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams towards achieving operational goals.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for collaboration across departments.
- Computer skills especially in Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
- Must be a team player and comfortable working with people from all walks of life.
