Position: Fertility Nurse-PACU

Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Purpose: Responsible for assisting Physician with direct patient care and a variety of pre, intra, and post encounter activities. Meet and exceed patient expectations and adhere to established practices while assuring the best possible care for patients. We are looking for a candidate who is an efficient multitasker, dependable, adaptive and a self-motivator.

Responsibilities:

· Position is part-time

· Minimum 1 year Experience in PACU setting required

· Women's Health Experience Preferred

· Pre-op, recovery and circulating IVF procedures

. Obtaining intravenous access

· Administer Intravenous, intramuscular and oral medications.

. Obtain intravenous access-STRONG IV SKILLS ARE A MUST FOR THIS POSITION AS WE HAVE TIME SENSITIVE CASES AND IS FASTED PACED.

· Phlebotomy as needed

· Maintain patient charting with our EMR system and paper charting and maintains confidentially in compliance with HIPPA regulations

· Appropriately documents and maintains logs for controlled substances and emergency equipment/medications

· Provides education / instructions/support to patients and their families

· Responsible for accurate and timely communication of physician orders, instructions, and lab results to patients.

· Ensures PACU and procedure room is safe, organized, clean, have well-functioning equipment, and supplies are adequate.

· Preparing paperwork for future cases

. Post Procedure calls

License/Certification:

• RN (Required)
• ACLS/BLS certification (required)

Job Type: Part-time

Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
