About The Role

The Legal Specialist, Investigations will lead legal support initiatives including contract review, regulatory compliance research, and corporate filing management. Reporting to General Counsel and working closely with the Head of Community, this role will work to develop and implement community policies, manage complex escalations, and deliver evidence-based recommendations for resolution. They require an ability to navigate nuanced situations with exceptional judgment and clear communication.

Key Responsibilities

Legal Support :

  • Assist General Counsel with drafting and reviewing contracts, communications and other legal documents
  • Provide legal research and regulatory compliance support for International Business Operations business unit
  • Assist with general corporate matters, including annual filings, state licensing renewals and corporate approvals
  • Advisor Experience Escalation :

  • Develop and implement a process for investigating escalated advisor issues with partners and clients
  • Communicate with and manage advisors, clients and partners to understand the issue, gather relevant information and find reasonable solutions
  • Create clear, evidence-based recommendations to consistently manage edge cases for the advisor community in collaboration with the Head of Community and General Counsel
  • Recommend, create and manage Fora community policies as needed
  • Requirements

  • 4-6 years of experience or relevant experience as a legal assistant or paralegal, with proficiency in general corporate matters or relevant education (L.L.B.)
  • Exceptional judgement and empathy for clients, advisors and partners
  • Strong research and analysis skills with keen attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Integrity and professionalism with a commitment to upholding confidentiality and ethical standards
  • Proactive and solutions-oriented, with the ability to anticipate needs and solve problems quickly
  • Comfortable working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners
  • Strongly Preferred

  • Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school and bar membership
  • Compensation

    Compensation range for this role can vary widely depending on experience, and for this role an indicative range is $90k - $120k equity. Other benefits include :
