FB Timberline is seeking an experienced Regional Operations Manager to support our growing operations in the Carolinas.
Reporting to the VP of Operations, the Regional Operations Manager provides leadership, strategic direction, and oversight of all civil underground infrastructure, distribution, transmission, and substation contract work within a defined jurisdiction. You will be a key contributor in identifying opportunities to pursue and grow the region in accordance with established growth plans.
The role requires collaboration with clients / partners / stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure the execution of all area contracts and project activities

Key Responsibilities :
Lives Forbes Bros. value of WE WORK SAFE & never compromising on safety in all aspects of our every dayPromote and adhere to all HS&E and Corporate objectives and targets.Understand and promote a Human Performance approach within the regional work group by ensuring all construction plans are aligned and integrated with corporate HS&E strategies, programs, and systems.Conduct periodic field visits to audit managers and field leaders on safe work execution and to perform regular high energy observations.Work closely with Leadership teams to develop operational objectives and set targets for the region.Lead revenue, gross margin, and defined financial outcomes within the Region.Ensure regulatory compliance, both internal and external, achieving our commitment to safety, quality, and environment are met or exceeded.Ensure technical and commercial requirements in region through application of Quality Management processes.Create operational plans for resource optimization, productivity, and project pursuits.Work in conjunction with Business Development to maintain and develop client relationships while ensuring "contractor of choice" strategy is delivered to all clients.Work with Estimating and Proposal team to develop estimates, executions plans, bid proposals, and ensure managers are equipped with the tools to execute on contracts and projects from start-up to completion.Lead regional financial health by adhering to annual budgets, revenue growth, and annual KPI targets.Resolve operational concerns with clients and ensure the implementation of interventions to minimize project delays.Promote and foster positive working relationships with the internal management team, site supervisors, subcontractors, and other contractors on the project site.Provide input to performance reviews and development plans for subordinates.Utilize Shared Services functions to help deliver specialized support enabling operations to focus on profitable, safe, and quality delivery of work being done in the field.Other duties may be assigned within the scope of the job descriptionCreate a positive work environment that promotes the safety and respect of all staff, clients, sub-contractors, and the local communities.Ensure the highest level of quality is met or exceeded in all circumstances.Deliver safe and profitable outcomes for all project scopes.Identify opportunities to pursue and grow the region in accordance with established growth plans.What We Are Looking For :
Minimum of five (5) plus years experience in an operational leadership role or an equivalent position with accountability for growth and achieving P&L outcomes.Minimum of ten (10) years progressive experience in Utility Infrastructure Construction projects (Transmission, Distribution, Substation) with responsibility for Master Service Agreements (MSA) across customer / State jurisdictions.Preferred education to include formal education in Engineering, Business Management, Construction / Project Management, or relative discipline related to the Utility Industry. Combination of experience and education will be considered.Experience with environmental agencies and / or regulatory authorities in multiple jurisdictions.Proven and progressive construction project management experience.Strong leadership and team building skills, including the ability to lead by example, build consensus, actively listen, and engage / influence employees at all levelsExcellent communication skills : ability to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of management, employees, and clientsExcellent time-management and organizational skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Highly effective at building and managing client / vendors relationships.Flexible schedule, able to travel, and willing to work extended hours if required.A self-motivated individual that requires minimum supervision.Strong working knowledge of computer applications, including MS Office, and computer-based scheduling and tracking software such as Primavera P6 and MS Project.Additional Details :
This position requires candidates to :
