Forbes Bros Timberline Construction Inc. (FB Timberline) is seeking multiple Apprentice Lineman (full time, temporary) to support the operations team at our Basin Transmission line construction project, in Watford City, ND.
The Apprentice Lineman (full-time) will work Monday to Saturday, typically 11-hour days, three (3) weeks on, one (1) week off rotation, onsite at the Basin project located in Watford City, ND. The Basin project consists of thirty-two (32) miles, 345Kv transmission line construction with H Frame and Monopole structures. The successful candidate will have prior experience in transmission powerline construction and demonstrate problem-solving skills, attention to detail and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

- Install, inspect, maintain, and repair high and low voltage transmission and distribution electrical grid.
- Troubleshoot and repair overhead distribution and transmission lines.
- Install, inspect, maintain, repair and modify high and low voltage transmission and distribution electrical grid.
- Maintain interior, exterior, overhead and underground electrical distribution systems.
- Install and maintain cables making part of power distribution systems.
- Will implement safety policies, transporting materials, installing electrical transmission systems, performing repair work, and laying underground cable in trenches.
- Assist in the construction, maintenance and removal of underground and overhead power lines and equipment.
- Adhere to Forbes Bros Occupational Health and Safety rules and regulations;
- Perform other tasks related to this function as assigned
What We Are Looking For:
- Minimum of six (6) months experience working within the powerline industry
- Willingness to enroll in and complete training and documentation toward Journeyman Lineman certification.
- Able and willing to present a Class A Commercial Driver License and an acceptable MVR
- Ability to work at heights in varying extreme climates
- Physically fit and able to perform manual labor in varying weather conditions and environments, inclusive of heavy lifting.
- Ability to work as a member of a team and adapt to changing tasks and locations
