Funding Specialist

Location : Mansfield, OH 44905

Starting Pay : $18 / hour

Job Type : Full-time

Schedule : 8 am-5 pm Monday- Friday.

Position Overview

As a Funding Specialist , youll play a critical role in ensuring clients receive the support they need to obtain life-changing communication devices. Working closely with our Assistive Technology Specialists (ATS), Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs), and client families, youll provide expert guidance throughout the funding process.

Your Responsibilities

Insurance Coordination : Verify eligibility, review records for accuracy, and obtain preauthorization for services.

Claims Management : Submit professional claims, resolve rejections / denials, and manage the process with critical thinking and solid judgment.

Client Support : Communicate via phone and email, offering guidance and solutions to clients and clinicians.

Team Collaboration : Work effectively with a dynamic, mission-driven team.

What You Bring to the Team

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

A high level of motivation and a willingness to learn.

Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Compassion and integrity in your interactions with clients and coworkers.

Basic knowledge of medical terminology (a plus!).

Proficiency in CRM software; experience with ACT! CRM is a bonus.
