Installation Technician

FORBO SIEGLING LLC
Kansas, MO Full Time
POSTED ON 12/23/2024
AVAILABLE BEFORE 2/10/2025

Safely and effectively perform all functions necessary for the installation and/or repair of Forbo Siegling belting products; provide back-up assistance for fabrication shop positions when not performing duties in the field.

Forbo is a manufacturer of conveyor belting. At our New Jersey location, we are looking for a belt fabricator (cutting and preparing belts to finished dimensions from bulk roll stock). This involves cutting belts manually (with a knife/straight edge) and finishing with various machinery to prepare and/or splice the ends. The belts are then shipped to the customer via UPS or via freight carriers.

We also travel to customer sites to install belts in place on the conveyors. This requires traveling to the site with the equipment, getting the equipment into the building and setting it up in the plant to splice the belt. We travel with 1-3 people total including yourself. New hires will not be in the field for a number of months so you will not be expected to work in that environment alone anytime soon.

The essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Capable of working at heights (primarily on installations, if needed)
  • 40 hours a week
  • Have a valid driver’s license
  • Be able to pass a drug test

  • Experience driving a forklift preferred
  • Uniforms and steel toe boots
  • 401K, health insurance, paid vacation, not paid sick time, etc.
  • Available for overtime, including weekends as necessary

We are looking for someone reliable who is able to show up to work on time and work hard. We have excellent camaraderie and we all come from different walks of life. We want someone to be part of the team and help us in our goals because no one can do it alone.
