Overview:
This role is responsible for managing payroll and benefits processes with accuracy and compliance. The position ensures seamless operations in HR functions, vendor relationships, and projects supporting HR leadership and executives.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Administration
- Process bi-weekly payroll and ensure compliance with wage laws
- Handle tax filings, W-2s, 1099s, and payroll discrepancies
- Maintain payroll systems and manage vendor relationships
- Ensure compliance with audits and payroll regulations
- Address employee payroll inquiries and resolve issues
Benefits Administration
- Manage benefits programs, enrollments, terminations, and claims
- Ensure compliance with COBRA, FMLA, HIPAA, ACA, and other regulations
- Oversee benefits billing, deductions, and vendor payments
- Conduct benefits orientations and Open Enrollment sessions
- Serve as the main contact for employee benefits inquiries
HR Operations & Compliance
- Identify and implement HR process improvements
- Ensure compliance with documentation and reporting requirements
- Support internal and external audits
Qualifications:
- 3 years of payroll and benefits experience (multi-state preferred)
- Strong knowledge of payroll laws, HRIS systems, and benefits compliance
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and payroll/HR systems (e.g., Paycom)
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; HR certifications are a plus
Work Environment:
- Office-based, five days per week
- Occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs) and movement through operational areas
- Moderate noise levels; PPE may be required in certain areas
Salary : $70,000 - $80,000
