Short Description
Kentucky’s largest small market radio group is actively seeking a Chief Engineer to be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and quality of the organization's various radio stations and their equipment. This role involves managing relationships with radio tower crews and station workers, supporting and maintaining radio station/on-air equipment , and supporting projects in coordination with IT.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all group radio stations’ RF capabilities and radio engineering needs
- Manage the maintenance and performance of radio station transmitters, towers, generators, radio boards, and any equipment directly related radio frequency capabilities and on-air performance
- Order any equipment necessary to keep the radio stations broadcasting over the air
- Work with the group’s IT team to manage and sustain on-air radio equipment
- Recruit and contract with radio tower crews to manage radio tower maintenance
- Travel to each radio market as needed to perform chief engineering duties
- Ensure all EAS reports and other required FCC engineering documentation is processed for each radio station
- Other duties as assigned by the President/CEO
