Essential Duties & Responsibilities

To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily.

Ensures that all maintenance of building structures, repair, grounds, and landscaping for all Lexington facilities are appropriately carried out.
Works with senior management and bank facilities manager regarding necessary upkeep and projects.
Supervising maintenance and housekeeping staff.
Keep a record of all maintenance and service activities conducted and maintaining a cycle of the same.
Ensures proper working shifts of employees and evaluating their performances.
Interacting with other departments to ensure the proper functioning of all systems in the facilities.
Complying with all safety norms and regulations.
Delegating work to subordinates and ensuring the timely completion of the same.
Filing purchase orders and other documentations for the procurement of spare and replacements parts.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge of the equipment, tools and materials used in building maintenance.

Knowledge of the methods, practices and techniques of maintaining building and facilities.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Ability to interpret miscellaneous drawings, schematics, and assembly or operating instructions.

Ability to perform multiple job functions and tasks with minimum supervision.

Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, to follow instructions, and to accept constructive criticism.

Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with other employees, management, visitors, outside contractors, and the general public.

Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, and maintain the appearance of maintenance work areas.

Must have the ability to minimize waste of supplies, misuse of equipment, etc.

Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing maintenance practices.

Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.

Ability to stand and / or walk for extended periods of time.

Ability to operate standard power tools and equipment according to safety specifications.

Ability to use fingers and hands to handle, feel, or reach with hands and arms.

Ability to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Ability to frequently lift and / or move more than 100 pounds.

Ability to see things up close and at a distance, discern colors, and have depth perception.

Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.

Ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking and writing so others will be able to understand.

Ability to identify and understand the speech of another person.

Ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong and generate appropriate solutions or responses.

Ability to analyze a situation and select the appropriate course of action on matters involving significant risks or consequences.

Ability to operate standard business equipment such as a fax, computer, printer, copier, etc.

Ability to travel to other locations.

Ability to work on a flexible schedule that at times may include late working hours or weekend hours.

Required Education and Experience

High School Diploma or the equivalent.

Five (5) years of skilled maintenance work.

Previous experience supervising other trades or maintenance personnel.

Valid Kentucky Driver’s License and the ability to maintain a driving record in good standing
