Position Summary
The Job Superintendent (JS) manages and oversees installation projects on job sites, ensuring safety, quality, timeliness, and customer satisfaction. This role spans the entire project lifecycle, from initial planning to completion, and includes team leadership, safety enforcement, equipment management, and hands-on support when necessary. The JS ensures all work meets specifications, stays within budget, and aligns with company standards and customer expectations.
What You’ll Do
- Project Oversight & Execution: Manage all aspects of onsite installations, ensuring adherence to project specifications, budgets, and timelines. Oversee the technical execution, provide hands-on assistance, and ensure quality standards are met.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and guide onsite personnel, creating labor plans and fostering a safety-conscious and efficient work environment.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict safety protocols, conduct regular checks, and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Resource Management: Protect, maintain, and assign tools and equipment; manage materials to minimize waste and damage.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records and submit accurate project reports throughout the lifecycle.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in commercial construction and audio-visual system installation.
- Strong technical skills, including blueprint and schematic interpretation, and proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Prior supervisory or management experience in construction or technical environments.
- OSHA 30 and/or CTS certifications preferred.
- Degree in Electronics, Construction Management, or related field is preferred.
- Ability to travel extensively (50-75%), including overnight trips. Comfortable working at heights and in construction environments.

Physical Requirements The combination of physical and mental requirements is necessary for completing the responsibilities, essential functions, and meeting the demands of the role. The employee must have the ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds, climb ladders up to 20 feet tall, and work in extreme weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures. They may also be required to work in dusty or unclean environments, confined spaces, and on uneven surfaces. Safety is paramount, necessitating effective communication with colleagues and constant alertness to surroundings. The employee will be frequently required to stand, walk, reach, climb, and perform tasks that involve stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Additionally, the job may require long hours, night shifts, weekend work, and holiday commitments, including extensive travel for weeks at a time. The employee must be able to apply established protocols in a timely manner to meet deadlines and effectively communicate to successfully perform all required responsibilities.
