What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Job Superintendent, you’ll manage installation projects from the job site, ensuring they are completed safely, within budget, on time, and to the highest quality standards. You’ll take ownership of projects from start to finish, leading teams and maintaining Ford AV’s commitment to excellence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Team Leadership: Managing onsite personnel, creating labor plans, and ensuring efficient resource allocation.
- Safety Standards: Enforcing safety protocols, including OSHA compliance, and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Project Execution: Overseeing job execution, ensuring specifications are met, and assisting with installations when needed.
- Documentation: Preparing reports and maintaining records throughout the project lifecycle.
- Equipment Oversight: Protecting and assigning tools and equipment to ensure smooth project operations.
Military Occupational Specialties (MOS) and Codes:
Veterans with leadership and technical backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Relevant military experience includes but is not limited to:
- Army: 12H (Construction Engineering Supervisor), 12N (Horizontal Construction Engineer), 25W (Telecommunications Operations Chief)
- Navy: CM (Construction Mechanic), CE (Construction Electrician), ET (Electronics Technician)
- Air Force: 3E171 (Electrical Systems Supervisor), 3D190 (Cyber Operations Superintendent)
- Marine Corps: 1361 (Engineering Assistant), 0629 (Wire Chief)
- Coast Guard: MK (Machinery Technician), ET (Electronics Technician)
What We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking candidates with the following skills and qualifications:
- Experience in commercial construction and installation of AV systems.
- Proficiency in basic hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Strong supervisory or management experience.
- OSHA 30 certification or CTS certification (preferred).
- Willingness to travel 50-75%, including overnight stays.
- Comfort working at heights and in construction environments.
- A degree in Electronics or Construction Management (preferred).

Physical Requirements The combination of physical and mental requirements is necessary for completing the responsibilities, essential functions, and meeting the demands of the role. The employee must have the ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds, climb ladders up to 20 feet tall, and work in extreme weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures. They may also be required to work in dusty or unclean environments, confined spaces, and on uneven surfaces. Safety is paramount, necessitating effective communication with colleagues and constant alertness to surroundings. The employee will be frequently required to stand, walk, reach, climb, and perform tasks that involve stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Additionally, the job may require long hours, night shifts, weekend work, and holiday commitments, including extensive travel for weeks at a time. The employee must be able to apply established protocols in a timely manner to meet deadlines and effectively communicate to successfully perform all required responsibilities.
