What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Accountant position at FORD COMPONENT SALES?
Ford Component Sales, LLC (FCS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Ford Motor Company aligned with the Ford Customer Service Division (FCSD). We are a flexible sales organization that directs resources toward revenue opportunities identified by FCSD.
We are in search of a Senior Accountant that directly performs a wide range of financial responsibilities include, but not limited to those listed in the following section. This senior role provides guidance, direction, and support to employees throughout the organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Provides management with timely financial reports
- Responsible for timely month-end closings, including compliance to Ford Finance Manual, GAAP, etc.
- Responsible for assisting with budget preparation regarding fixed assets, etc.
- Prepares reports required by parent company
- Prepares journal entries with full backup
- Reconciles balance sheet accounts and performs account analyses
- Responsible for fixed asset management including physical inventory of assets
- Develops and implements process improvements
- Develops Accounting Analysts with training
- Peer reviews and finalizes finance personnel’s work
- Completes fixed asset MCRP
- Bank disbursement reconciliation
- Processes inventory adjustments, transfers as needed
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university; or three to five years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
