Summary:
Ford Franchise is looking for a reliable and customer-oriented Parts Specialist to join our Parts Department. This role involves answering phones, assisting customers with parts orders, and ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of requests. As the face of our Parts Department, you will provide exceptional service, help customers find the parts they need, and support daily operations by pulling and organizing parts, managing inventory, and processing transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls and assist customers with parts inquiries and orders.
- Provide excellent customer service by identifying and locating parts for customers, both in-store and over the phone.
- Process parts orders, including taking payments and completing necessary paperwork.
- Pull, organize, and stock parts to ensure inventory accuracy and efficient order fulfillment.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of parts inventory, vehicle models, and pricing.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving and storing new parts shipments.
- Collaborate with service technicians and other departments to fulfill internal parts requests.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the parts counter and storage areas.
- Handle customer concerns or issues professionally and escalate as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; previous experience in automotive parts or retail preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.
- Basic computer skills and experience with inventory or point-of-sale systems.
- Ability to lift and move parts or packages up to 50 pounds.
- Customer service-focused with a professional and friendly attitude.
- Knowledge of automotive parts or mechanical understanding is a plus.
- Flexibility to work during business hours, including some weekends.
