Job Description
- Perform assigned work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, adhering to dealership and factory standards.
- Diagnose malfunctions and perform authorized repairs, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate with the Parts Department to ensure part availability.
- Save and tag parts if under warranty or requested by Service Consultants.
- Examine vehicles to determine additional safety or service work requirements.
- Notify Service Consultants of any additional work needed or if repairs cannot be completed within promised timeframes.
- Document work performed as directed by Service Consultants.
- Conduct road tests to ensure quality of repair and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
- Stay up-to-date with factory technical bulletins and attend factory-sponsored training classes.
- Maintain a clean and organized shop area and account for all tools used.
- Comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including safety requirements and hazardous waste disposal procedures.
- Wear appropriate PPE and maintain safety awareness at all times.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience working as a Technician in an automotive service department.
- A valid driver's license and a clear driving record.
- Ability to pass pre-employment screening requirements, including drug screening, Motor Vehicle record report, and background investigation.
- Provide minimum three good work references with current contact information.
