A key role for the Ford-Lincoln Automotive Service Technician involves performing assigned work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, adhering to dealership and factory standards. Key responsibilities include:
- Diagnosing malfunctions and performing repairs, if authorized by Service Consultants.
- Coordinating with the Parts Department to ensure part availability.
- Saving and tagging parts under warranty or at customer request.
- Examining vehicles for additional safety or service needs.
- Notifying Service Consultants about needed additional work or repairs that cannot be completed within promised timeframes.
- Documenting work performed as directed by Service Consultants.
- Road testing vehicles to ensure quality of repair and maintaining cleanliness.
- Staying up-to-date with factory technical bulletins and attending factory-sponsored training classes.
- Maintaining shop area neatness and being accountable for all tools used.
- Complying with federal, state, and local regulations, such as safety requirements and hazardous waste disposal.
**Required Skills and Qualifications**

- At least 3 years of experience working as a Technician in an automotive service department.
- A valid driver's license and a clear driving record.
