The position has the following responsibilities :
- Facilitates organizational procedures in accordance with 40 CFR 262.265
- Leads the design and implementation of air movement systems throughout the facility, including ventilation, makeup air, particulate and fume exhaust, collection, and other air movement requirements
- Administration of environmental permits and requirements, ensuring timely completion of all reports
- Recommends, evaluates and aids in implementation of new equipment and processes to ensure environmental compliance
- Helping with the design of equipment regarding emissions and environmental safety
- Serves as liaison with federal, state, and local agencies on issues pertaining to solid and hazardous waste program requirements
- Identifies operational initiatives necessary to ensure environmental compliance
A Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline and five to seven years of related experience is needed.
