Pipe Products Quote Analyst - Pell City

Job Duties

The Ford Meter Box Co., Inc., (fordmeterbox.com), is seeking a Pipe Products Quotes Analyst. Key job duties include but are not limited to:

• Recommends discount levels to provide a reasonable profit while recognizing market prices and forces.
• Recommends discount levels to provide a reasonable profit while recognizing market prices and forces for Line Side, Baker Coupling and Treatment Plant products.
• Tabulate results of previous bids to form a meaningful and searchable database that can be used to make the quoting process more effective.
• Cross reference competitor part numbers to provide pricing on analogous Ford Meter Box products.
• Recommends list prices, part numbers and descriptions for new items.
• Proficient in the technical aspects of all product lines.
• Consider alternative materials and manufacturing methods to reduce costs while maintaining customer satisfaction.
• Consider inventory levels and workload in the factory when determining pricing and delivery.
• Serve as a liasion between Wabash Quote Department (Domestic and Export), Customer Service, Pell City Data Processing, Pell City Manufacturing, Pell City Product Engineering and Pell City Purchasing for the purpose of determining accurate costs and a reasonable selling price and delivery schedule.
• Complete customer requests for pricing on a schedule that allows customers to meet bid deadlines.
  
  

Utilizes Microsoft Excel, Word and JDE. Must have basic computer skills and the ability to expand computer knowledge as required with company provided training. Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Candidates must have the ability to work independently, have strong organizational skills and initiative while working with the group.
