An In-Vehicle Infotainment and Connectivity Systems Engineer interacts with feature owners and software development teams to scope and define systems interface specifications. This includes the process of deriving functional level requirements from feature level requirements, and utilizing a model-based systems engineering approach to define individual functions, use cases, sequence diagrams, etc.

What you'll do:
The individual will be responsible for the development of feature-based In-Vehicle Infotainment & Connectivity (IVI-C) Specifications for all IVI-C Modules, including Sync, Audio Head Unit, Telematic Control Unit, Enhanced Central Gateway, Amplifier, and other display Modules (for instance, Head-Up Display, Rear Audio Control)

This includes the following tasks:
  • Executing functional partitioning of features
  • Developing interfaces between allocable classes
  • Specifying system level requirements
  • Adopting model-based system engineering method for the SPSS development.
  • Using Requirement Management tool for requirement authoring, change management and specification generation.
  • Managing working level meetings between Feature/Function Owners, module owners, HMI teams and IVI Platform team to develop functional integration strategies.


Additionally, the individual will be leading or supporting the following tasks:
  • Performing system compatibility analysis & impact assessment for IVI feature deployment to different architectures, programs, or markets.
  • Resolving technical issues at system and interface level that impact In-Vehicle Infotainment system


Position Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer/Software/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 1 with electrical architectures, electrical systems, and automotive network topologies Having Systems Engineering experience
  • 1 in requirement development and component/vehicle level testing


The following qualifications are desired.
  • Familiarity with Automotive Infotainment Systems (interfaces, communication protocols, and architecture)
  • Experienced at analyzing and resolving systems issues
  • Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture based API design
  • Knowledge of CAN and Ethernet based In-vehicle Network protocols and processes, and experience in using Network tools (CANalyzer, CANoe, ValueCAN, Ethernet tools)
  • Knowledge of Human Factors, Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI)
  • Knowledge of requirement authoring tools (VSEM System Engineering, DOORS, JAMA, Polarion, etc)
  • Knowledge of Unified Modeling Language (UML), System Modeling Language (SysML) and UML/SysML tools (IBM Rational Rhapsody, MagicDraw)
