Job Summary: The Part-Time Vehicle Prep detailer is responsible for the cleanliness of all fleet and support vehicles. This position could be up to a 32 hour per week position and is expected to last between March 1 – November 30. He or she will champion the company’s Mission and Vision and model the company Values.
What you will do:
- Responsible for the thorough washing and cleaning of all FPRS vehicles
- Safe transport of vehicles between various staging areas
- Assist in the cleanliness and organization of the Detail Bay
- Learn and understand of car cleaning products and chemicals
- Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of FPRS East, its vehicles, and its programs
Knowledge and Skills you possess:
- Ability to interact well with customers and fellow employees
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks in the most productive and/or appropriate manner
- Demonstrate the ability to be self-motivated
- Must be able to drive a manual transmission
- Knowledge of cars, tires, car cleaning products/chemicals preferred
Supervision Received and Exercised:
- Reports to and receives assignments from Shop Manager and Vehicle Detail Lead
Expectations:
- Adhere to an event-driven work schedule - primarily Monday thru Friday with some evenings, weekends, and holidays required
- Show respect for others
- Maintain a positive attitude
- Maintain current valid driver’s license, clean driving record, pass background and drug screening
Physical Demands:
- Often required to work long hours and be available when needed or as business requires (including holidays, nights, and weekends)
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Moderate to high levels of stress may be associated with this position
