NOW HIRING: Ford's Furniture has been in business for 80 years! Come work for a family owned company that values their employees. As a Delivery Driver you will be responsible for the delivery of furniture. You will operate a company delivery truck by loading and unloading freight for deliveries to local customers.
Other responsibilities of the Local Truck Driver include:
- Performing pre and post trip vehicle inspections to insure your vehicle is ready for the road
- Loading the truck in an efficient manner for unload and confirming customer orders
- Climbing in and out of delivery cab to accommodate customer deliveries throughout the day
- Operating commercial vehicle in compliance with local, state and federal laws
- Provide excellent customer service; providing assistance as a liaison between customer service and delivery location as needed.
- Performing overtime as required, accomplishing deliveries and maintaining customer satisfaction
- Performing warehouse duties and tasks assigned
As a Delivery Driver you must be a team player with excellent customer service skills and the drive to succeed. Qualified candidates are self-motivated, responsible, highly organized and able to multitask in a fast paced and changing environment.
Other requirements of the Local Truck Driver include:
- Valid, active Driver's License
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record
- Ability to load and unload heavy items.
- Must pass DOT physical, criminal check and drug screen
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to read a maps and follow directions
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
