Paralegal

We are a well-established law firm headquartered in downtown Long Beach, California, with a strong reputation for success in high-profile cases. We are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our growing team. 

Requirements: 

• Paralegal Certificate from an accredited institution required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in general litigation and/or insurance coverage/defense litigation.
• Extensive experience with document handling, preparation, and maintenance.
• Proficient in drafting correspondence, pleadings, briefs, and trial documents with excellent writing and attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while supporting multiple attorneys.
• Excellent oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and witnesses.
• Highly organized and efficient, with strong time management skills.
• Heavy trial preparation experience required.

Job Type: Full-time 

Pay: $65,000.00 per year 

Responsibilities: 

• Conduct research on legal issues using various databases (i.e., Westlaw).
• Manage and organize case files on progression and tracking deadlines demonstrating strong time management skills.
• Draft / proofread legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, discovery responses and court filings.
• Assist attorneys in trial preparation by compiling evidence and preparing exhibits and witnesses.
• Communicate with clients, and experts to gather information and schedule interviews/meetings.
