What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lean Transformation Specialist position at Ford?

You'll have the opportunity to apply your expertise in Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing directly into production operations, eliminating waste from the system, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
About This Role
- You will serve as an integral member of the FPS leadership team, responsible for leading transformation and change efforts within the plants.
- Role model the highest level of integrity through demonstration of servant leadership behaviors and Ford OS behaviors of Excellence, Focus, and Collaboration.
To be successful in this role, you'll need to leverage deep knowledge of the Ford Operating System and Lean Principles, maintaining a 0-0-100 mindset (0 injuries, 0 defects, 100% throughput), and facilitating Kaizen workshops. You'll also coach the plants on Lean Maturity Model and develop gap closure plans to achieve yearly improvement targets.
In addition, you'll create a sense of community and culture of belonging for employees across all levels by engaging in daily Gemba walks, collaborative problem-solving, coaching, & visibly celebrating team accomplishments. You'll build a robust internal and external network to promote the exchange of new perspectives, ideas, and best practices to improve Ford's competitiveness.
