Ford Model E is responsible for developing the key technologies and capabilities - such as EV platforms, batteries, e-motors, inverters, charging and recycling - to create ground-up, breakthrough electric vehicles. The Vehicle Product Management Staff Engineer will be responsible for leading cross functional teams to develop the next generation of EV vehicles. You will be responsible for integrating teams to deliver compelling, feasible, and viable products. You will work with marketing to develop the product concept, engineering to develop the architecture and attributes, and finance to develop the financials.

Responsibilities

What you'll be able to do :

Lead cross functional teams to create the next generation of EV vehicle products.
Use your customer, engineering and business skills to integrate cross functional teams to iterate to optimal product solutions.
Develop compelling product concepts and create feasible and financially viable strategies.
Lead program assumptions, financial estimates, and industrialization plans.
Create a more efficient product development process.

Qualifications

The minimum requirements we seek :

Engineering or Business degree or equivalent required. Advanced degree desired but not required.

5 years of experience working on production vehicle development, from concept to launch

3 years of experience in Product Management & Strategy, developing vehicle concepts and integrating cross functional teams.

2 years of experience utilizing CAD (3DX, Catia, NX, ICEMSURF, or Alias) collaboratively, 3DX and CATIA preferred

Preferred requirements :

Customer Focused Product Management

Strong understanding of developing customer focused product concepts, vehicle architecture and vehicle financials.

Deep knowledge of their inter-relationships between these areas and strategic thinking skills to deliver both compelling and viable products.

Strong understanding of product development process.

Well-developed ability to shape the product strategy with strong product management skills.

Capability to integrate the product, business and engineering aspects.

Strong collaboration skills to integrate cross functional teams (Design, Marketing, Engineering, Finance, Manufacturing, etc).

Results Driven in White Space and Fast Paced Environment

Strong desire to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Ability and willingness to navigate in a "process-less" space and still achieve aspirational results.

Customer-focused with an open mind to work differently from standard process.

Creative to find innovative / integrated solutions.

Ability to work with all employee levels from technical personnel to senior management.

Self Motivation & Responsibility

Self-motivated and eager to take responsibility.

Ability to deliver results with minimal supervision.

Communication Skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
