Job Summary
The Financial Analyst, Tax will be responsible for monthly sales and use tax reporting, entity-level tax reporting, tax accounting and assisting with special projects.
This role requires someone who is positive, straightforward, resilient, trustworthy and reliable. Additionally, the person has exemplary knowledge of accounting principles and must be an organized professional that pays attention to detail. The individual will ensure tax processes of the company are kept up to standard for accurate financial reporting and control.
The ideal candidate must be a problem-solver with strong analytical and organizational skills. The candidate must have the ability to multi-task and have excellent communication skills.
This position is a hybrid role which requires the employee to work in the office every Tuesday and Wednesday
Essential Functions
- Process and maintain sales and use tax reports.
- Process monthly, quarterly, and annual returns for federal and state income, franchise, sales and use and gross receipts taxes.
- Manage and prepare tax payments and processes.
- Manage and review monthly sales tax account reconciliations and adjust general ledger as needed.
- Work with product owners to understand product plans and identify any potential tax issues or future exposures.
- Prepare annual entity-level tax return workpapers.
- Complete month-end close activities, including creating journal entries, and prepare year-end tax reporting.
- Research state and local, federal and international tax issues.
- Assist with state sales tax audits and other projects as requested.
- Assist with billing processes as requested.
- Adhere to internal accounting policies and procedures.
- Comply with Company internal control procedures.
- Substantiate financial transactions with supporting documentation.
- Support internal and external audits by timely providing supporting explanations and documents.
- Analyze and resolve day to day issues that might arise.

Experience
- Accounting, finance, and/or sales/use tax experience (2 years)
- ERP system experience
- Tax research experience, CCH or Thomson Reuters

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
