Position Summary
Reporting to the Senior Director of Athletics Development/Senior Associate Director of Athletics, the Associate/Senior Associate Director of Athletics Development is responsible for overseeing the execution of fundraising activities in support of Fordham’s tradition-rich Athletics program comprising 22 intercollegiate and 14 club sports.
Primary responsibilities include coordinating strategic operations, pipeline development, and managing a prospect portfolio.
This position requires occasional work hours on evenings and weekends and occasional overnight travel.
Essential Functions
Assists the Senior Director of Athletics Development/Senior Associate Director of Athletics in prospect management operations for the Athletics Development team, pulling necessary reports.
Ensures comprehensive prospect portfolios are developed and include prospects representing all teams and clubs. Coordinates a periodic refresh of gift officer portfolios.
Supervises the contact reporting process for assigned athletics prospects to ensure activity is posted regularly.
Manages the donor acknowledgment to ensure all donors are thanked appropriately and promptly.
Conducts, along with DAUR colleagues, a comprehensive review of the prospect pipeline to identify opportunities to maximize giving.
Participates in key athletics events and DAUR functions.
Manages a portfolio of approximately 175 annual giving prospects.
Devises individual engagement strategies for each prospect in their pool with the goal of soliciting annual gifts and/or multi-year gift commitments at the $1,000 level , with specific solicitation goals to be determined in an annual goal-setting process.

Required Qualifications: Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree
Associate Director of Athletics Development: Minimum of 4 years of fundraising experience or a combination of fundraising and equivalent experience driving athletics revenue in progressively responsible positions.
Senior Associate Director of Athletics Development: Minimum of 5 years of fundraising experience or a combination of fundraising and equivalent experience driving athletics revenue in progressively responsible positions.
Required Qualifications: Knowledge and Skills
Strong time management and organizational skills.
A track record of exceeding fundraising goals.
Ability to engage prospects in all phases of development: qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
Exceptional communication skills.
Demonstrated excellent judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
A proven track record for successfully translating strategic ideas into measurable results.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Familiarity with database and CRM tools.
Exhibits dedication to Fordham University and its mission with the ability to fully articulate it to all.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with CRM Advance and/or Blackbaud Fundraiser Performance Management.
Capital campaign experience.
Minimum Starting Salary $80,000
Maximum Starting Salary $90,000
