Position Summary
Reporting to the Principal Investigator, thePostdoctoral Fellow/Research Scientist works on several federally-funded projects on adolescent and young adult development related to race-related stress, sleep, ethnic-racial socialization, identity, social media use, and mental health.
The position is renewable contingent on funding.
Essential Functions
Constructs surveys needed for the study.
Collects and analyzes data.
Prepares publications and conference presentations.
Applies for additional funding.
Mentors graduate and undergraduate lab members.

Management Responsibilities Not responsible for supervision or oversight of others.
Additional Functions
Required Qualifications: Education and Experience
Ph.D. in Psychology, Sociology, Education, or relevant social science.
Minimum of one year of experience with at least one large, longitudinal dataset.
Experience working in a collaborative research laboratory environment.
Required Qualifications: Knowledge and Skills
Strong foundation in developmental theories.
Strong quantitative methodologies (e.g., structural equation modeling, cross-lagged models, latent growth models, multilevel models, measurement invariance).
Proven ability to synthesize large amounts of information.
Demonstrated capacity to communicate the findings of scientific research (e.g., writing articles for peer-reviewed scientific journals) and work independently and co-operatively.
Preferred Qualifications
Expertise with marginalized groups (e.g., ethnicity, race, immigration status, gender and sexual orientation, weight).
Experience with multi-level methods (e.g., experience sampling, longitudinal surveys, biomarkers, observational methods, experimental designs, interviews, focus groups).
Minimum Starting Salary $57,000
Maximum Starting Salary $65,000
