ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Emergency and spill response management duties & responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Safety is always first and foremost!
- Make the required federal and/or state agency notifications on behalf of our clientele with regard to incidents and complete the necessary written documentation requirements for these agencies where applicable.
- Functionality and diversity within the Incident Command Structure (ICS)
- Act as a liaison with federal and state trustees both on-site and off-site
- Conduct site health and safety assessments
- Implement and monitor a site safety plan
- Develop a long-term response plan and daily Incident Action Plans (IAPs)
- Conduct over flight and impact assessments
- Provide financial/logistical support and manage resources
- Individually conduct on-site management
- Set obtainable objectives for a response, keeping in mind that flexibility is important
- Manage media response
- Thorough documentation (written and digital photographs)
- Openly participate in oil spill drills and exercise
Environmental consulting duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Limited environmental assessments
- Phase Is
- NORM Confirmatory Surveys
- Baseline & post-closure drilling assessments
- Wetland restoration and re-vegetative planting
- Investigative environmental sampling (soil and groundwater)
- Phase IIs
- Federal compliance inspections and pre-inspections
- State compliance inspections and pre-inspections
Experience with ICS and/or HAZWOPER is a plus. Must be TWIC eligible. Must have valid driver's license. Bachelor's degree is preferred but can be substituted with military, law enforcement, or work history. Additional experience as an emergency manager, from disaster preparedness or public safety will be considered.
Pay is dependent upon experience and background.
Salary does include Bonus Compensatory Time!
