Job Description
Position Summary : We are a privately held, high-growth healthcare company seeking an
experienced Controller / Director of Accounting to oversee the financial responsibilities of our
expanding operations. This role will be critical in managing the day-to-day accounting functions,
driving efficient financial reporting, and leveraging the Workday ERP system for operational
scalability. You will be an essential partner to senior leadership, guiding strategic financial
initiatives, driving process improvements, and supporting the company;s financial goals.
Key Responsibilities :
Oversee all accounting functions : Manage day-to-day operations, including accounts
payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and other financial operations
Financial reporting : Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial
statements in compliance with GAAP
Month-end and year-end closes : Lead the monthly close process across multiple
entities ensuring completeness, accuracy, and alignment with company goals. Improve
speed and accuracy of financial closes, making them more efficient over time.
Tax compliance and audits : Oversee tax filings (federal, state, healthcare-specific
taxes), manage audits
Internal controls : Design, implement, and monitor internal controls and improve
financial reporting.
Workday ERP : Leverage Workday ERP to streamline accounting workflows, improve
reporting efficiency, and enhance decision-making with real-time analytics.
Team management and development : Lead, mentor, and expand the accounting
team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis : Work closely with the FPA team to
drive the budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
Drive continuous improvement : Identify and implement process and system
improvements to enhance financial operations, reduce errors, and scale the accounting
function.
Strategic support : Collaborate with the executive leadership team on strategic
business initiatives, providing insights and financial data to drive informed decision-
making and support long-term business objectives.
Qualifications
Qualifications :
Experience : A proven track record in a Controllership or Director of Accounting capacity
with at least 8-10 years of progressively responsible accounting and supervisory
experience, with at least 2-3 years in a Controller or Director of Accounting role in a
high-growth, dynamic environment.
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred or a related field
Workday experience : Experience with Workday ERP is preferred but not required, with
a focus on leveraging the system for financial reporting, compliance, and operational
efficiencies.
Technical skills : Advanced Excel skills. :
Analytical Critical Thinking : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the
ability to think strategically and manage complex financial issues in a dynamic
environment.
Communication skills : Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication
skills. Ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders and collaborate
effectively with senior leadership.
Entrepreneurial spirit : Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
while maintaining a long-term vision for scalable financial operations.
Additional Information
Salary : $120,000.00-150,000.00 year
