Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
Serves as a working supervisor coordinating activities of team members engaged in food operations across the organization. This position assists in the supervision of day-to-day activities and assigns responsibility for specific work or functional activities; orients and trains team members; assists in monitoring team member productivity; provides suggestions for increased service or productivity following FNS standards; and promotes a safe working environment. The supervisor also performs problem solving, working with customers to ensure satisfaction with quality and service.
RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
Serves as a working supervisor coordinating activities of team members engaged in food operations or services.
Establishes operating standards, implements quality improvements, and communicates those standards and expectations to the team.
Assists in locating, reconciling, and verifying accuracy of transactions. Operates equipment with peripheral electronic data processing, when needed.
Performs excellent customer service when interacting and serving customers including but not limited to positive greetings, patience, active listening, and excellent verbal communication skills.
Operates ordering system such as a cash register, terminal, or software. Processes customer cash, check, and non-cash payments. Maintains proper security of cash at all times. Understands, follows, and ensures compliance with DRH cash handling policies and procedures.
Arranges attractive food and food-related displays.
Performs cooking duties.
Breaks down, cleans, and/or sanitizes kitchen, cafeteria, workstations, counters, tables, steam tables, chairs, and other areas or equipment.
Uniforms must be worn in accordance with dress code requirements.
Regular attendance and punctuality for scheduled shifts.
Utilization of assistive devices for lifting is mandatory.
Must adhere to safety protocols at all times.
Per DRH policy, all required conditions of employment must be met and maintained including required vaccinations.
Implement DRH Standards of Behavior and exhibit behaviors consistent with DRH core values.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Minimum Qualifications: Knowledge of proper and safe food preparation, food handling regulations, and best practices. Knowledge of proper and safe use of custodial equipment and chemicals. Ability to effectively communicate with others. Basic ability to use technology related to job duties and responsibilities. Ability to effectively follow applicable regulations, policies, and/or procedures. Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays. Ability to adapt procedures, processes, tools, equipment, and techniques to accomplish the requirements of the position. Attention to detail. Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience. Experience directing team members and allocating resources required. Must have basic phone and computer skills (email, texting, etc.). Ability to read information on papers and computer screens. Knowledge of proper and safe use of applicable custodial equipment.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: Oklahoma food handler’s permit preferred. For those positions requiring travel, a current valid driver’s license and automobile liability insurance must be maintained. Blood borne pathogen training.
Physical Demands: Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Significant standing and walking; occasional sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and use of fine motor skills; Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and lift up to 40 pounds. Moving, lifting, or transferring items may involve lifting over 40 pounds with assistance. Assistive devices (lift gates, dollies, carts, etc.) are available and utilization of these devices is mandatory. To guard against injury, the team member must follow proper body mechanics and procedures for lifting safely. Use of personal protective equipment is required. Perform repetitive motions pertaining to the performance of job duties and the use of equipment; write, and finely manipulate small objects; concentrate and make efficient and effective decisions.
Work Environment: Generally, in an indoor setting; however, may participate in outside activities and events. Varying schedule to include evenings, holidays, weekends, and extended hours as needed. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. High probability of exposure to extremely hot and cold surfaces and food items, equipment with moving parts, and toxic or caustic chemicals. The team member will be given the proper training, engineering and workplace practice controls, and personal protective equipment necessary for reasonable protection from these exposures. Must wear protective clothing and/or personal protective equipment required by the work environment and/or governmental regulations and best practices.
