Responsibilities : ESSENTIAL DUTIES :
- Model a service attitude towards others, takes ownership in solving problems and takes the initiative to make things better, is friendly and courteous to residents, patients, visitors, and co-workers
- Ensure resident, patient, visitor, and co-worker safety by remaining aware of and reporting any new or existing safety hazards
- Maintain good attendance record
- Provide resident therapy treatments as directed by the Physical Therapist
- Document treatment and progress notes and other clinical work in the medical record per departmental policy and procedure
- Provide resident, family and staff education pertaining to Physical Therapy modalities to ensure understanding and proficiency of care
- Demonstrates good clinical judgment in all aspects of resident treatments in which trained to provide
- Screening residents to determine their potential benefit from physical therapy intervention and communicate need for intervention to Physical Therapist
- Develops, directs and / or participates in physical therapy programming for the residents
- Attends in-services and other meetings as required on an ongoing basis
- Maintains continuing education per state licensure requirements
- Other duties as assigned by the Physical Therapist and Director of Rehab
