ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Bulk Packaging Operator (6:00PM - 6:00AM):
Operate, set-up, and monitor operation of the scale used for weight control on the pack line.
Understands and communicates to the other crew members, the order requirements of the products to be packaged.
Monitors and oversees the proper operation of the metal detector and documents the equipment checks on the detector.
Rotate through each of positions on the bulk line including brine tending. Rotations occur every 3 hours minimum.
Set up the line after cleaning and prepare packaging materials for the upcoming orders, oversee line changeovers.
Operate wrap machine as needed and transfer palletized product to cheese warehouse area using the tow motor provided.
Transfers product to the cheese cooler.
Making of boxes, etc. for the upcoming orders on the packaging line, with crew support.
Warehouse Operator (1:00PM - 9:00PM)
Receives and unloads supplies and ingredients essential for day-to-day production.
Loading finished goods on shuttle trailer, prints appropriate documents, and sends them to distribution center.
Performs weekly cycle counts and maintains inventory accuracy.
Uses daily schedule on SharePoint, completes R12 data entry, and completes MSS duties.
Works with powder warehouse to shuttle supplies and equipment between docks.
Communicates low inventory levels of pallets, totes, and anti-cake.
Receives and unloads supplies and ingredients essential for day-to-day production.
Creates LPNs and prints pallet sheets for any item that need to be scanned into inventory.
Scans all LPNs into appropriate locations.
Samples non-fat dry milk and salt upon receiving and assists with receiving and storage of cultures.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS: Forklift Certified
QUALIFICATIONS:
Effective Cognition:
Communicate effectively with plant personnel
Work well independently or as a member of a work group
Follow verbal work instructions
Interpret and read information in the English language including safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals
Perform basic math functions (adding, subtracting, fractions, etc.)
Operate human machine interfaces and computers
Able to tell time on an analog or digital clock
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
Able to walk and stand on concrete surfaces for extended periods of time
Able stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
Use hands to flex, grip tools and operate machinery
Push, pull, lift with arms below waist/at shoulder level/above shoulder level up to 50 pounds
See close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and able to adjust focus
Perform work in extreme hot or cold temperatures in a damp environment
Wear required PPE (e.g., hearing protection, fall protection, bump cap, hair net, safety glasses, chemical handling PPE, etc.)
Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 60 lbs.
