About This Opportunity
JOB TITLE: HCV Cheesemake/EFV Clean Up Relief
POSITION TYPE: Full time
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt
Starting Pay: $23.08 per hour, increasing to $27.15 per hour after completing 60-day probation.
Earn an additional $2.00/hour shift premium for hours worked between 6:00PM - 6:00AM.
- Day shift (6:00AM - 6:00PM or 5:00AM - 1:00PM)
- Covers night shift 2-4 weeks per year.
- Weekends and holidays scheduled on a rotating basis.

Our facility is located at 1815 West Spencer Street, Appleton, WI 54914
Oversee the cheese-making process to produce a finished product which meets or exceeds the requirements of the customer. Continual monitoring of the production process and clean-up operation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform tests and checks on cheese and interpret data collected.
- Perform manual duties necessary to complete automated cycle, rinse vats, acknowledge sets, pH checks, cook temps, etc.
- Constantly monitor all automated and manual cheese-make functions.
- Make proper adjustments on rennet. Ensure starter/rennet are added to the vat at the appropriate time.
- Perform assigned data entry into Electronic Processing Log (EPL), record keeping and process monitoring functions according to established procedures.
- Monitor silo rotation of milk supply to ensure smooth transition when switching silos of raw milk.
- Maintain proper milk/protein/fat ratio with the FT-1.
- Make appropriate equipment and piping hook-ups.
- Reports and records all deviations from specified operating parameters and critical control points (CCP’s), as established by hazard analysis & critical control point (HACCP) and Foremost Farms procedures.
- Maintain proper documentation in various formats of recordkeeping.
- Clean cheese-make equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Effective Cognition:
- Communicate effectively with plant personnel
- Work well independently or as a member of a work group
- Follow verbal work instructions
- Interpret and read information in the English language including safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals
- Perform basic math functions (adding, subtracting, fractions, etc.)
- Operate human machine interfaces and computers
- Able to tell time on an analog or digital clock
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
- Able to walk and stand on concrete surfaces for extended periods of time
- Able stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Use hands to flex, grip tools and operate machinery
- Push, pull, lift with arms below waist/at shoulder level/above shoulder level up to 50 pounds
- See close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and able to adjust focus
- Perform work in extreme hot or cold temperatures in a damp environment
- Wear required PPE (e.g., hearing protection, fall protection, bump cap, hair net, safety glasses, chemical handling PPE, etc.)
- Regular workplace presence is required
- Able to work weekends, holidays and extended hours on a rotating schedule
