Overview
The Make Ready Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring that all equipment and facilities are fully operational and ready for use. This position involves performing maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and implementing repairs to maintain high standards of functionality and safety. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background, with experience in electrical systems and facilities maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize tools such as an ohmmeter to diagnose electrical issues and perform necessary repairs.
- Fabricate components as needed to support ongoing maintenance efforts.
- Supervise and coordinate with team members during maintenance projects to ensure efficiency and safety.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Perform welding tasks as required for repairs or fabrication of equipment.
- Collaborate with other departments to address facility-related concerns promptly.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance activities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance, with a focus on mechanical and electrical systems.
- Strong mechanical knowledge, including the ability to troubleshoot and repair various types of equipment.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, for effective communication within the team.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for tracking maintenance tasks and inventory management is preferred.
- Ability to supervise others effectively, ensuring tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
- Experience in welding is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
